Business Problem:
Multiple product teams were tasked with integrating their capabilities to create a product stack with greater value than their individual offerings. The team needed to identify new use cases that would benefit from these combined capabilities, define the necessary features to support them, and align on the scope for the initial MVP and future iterations.
Research Program:
Workshop guidance and facilitation:
Domain knowledge to ensure everyone was familiar with each individual offering ahead of time
Persona and journey map created and presented at workshop based on secondary research to align team on the product user
Product stack alignment activity to consolidate features and use cases from each offering, ensuring a shared understanding of the integrated product
Product development requirements informed by the journey map and alignment activity, to establish a prioritized product roadmap based on desirability and feasibility
Impact:
Research attendance at the workshop created alignment across the team on an overall product vision to work towards broken down into phases. The workshop resulted in seven Epics being added to the product roadmap and prioritized based on their feasibility and importance and a prioritized research roadmap to support these Epics.
